Yuka Yahagi Piano Studio

Biography of Yuka:

Yuka Yahagi is a pianist and accomplished piano teacher with a Masters degree in Piano Performance (MM) from University of Hawai'i at Manoa where she studied with Dr. Jonathan Korth and Dr. Thomas Rosenkranz.  She currently teaches students of all ages at her Honolulu studio.  Yuka served as President of the Honolulu Piano Teachers Association for years and currently is one of the board member.  

Born and raised in Japan, Yuka started her piano studies at the age of three, finding success in local competitions.  Throughout and even after her studies at UH Manoa, she enjoys performing both solo and collaborating concerts at various venues such as UH's Orvis Auditorium, the Honolulu Museum of Art, St. Andrew's church, the Waialae country club, Hawaii Public Radio Atherton studio, Punahou school, Medici's, and many retirement homes in the community.  She has served as a pianist for the UH Wind Ensemble, UH Choirs, and judged the Morning Music Club's annual competition.  She has taught at Punahou Music School and Manoa School of Music and Arts, and now teaches at her private piano studio in Honolulu.  She has been recognized as one of the top music teachers by Steinway & Sons since 2016.
